Attendees: All Year One and Year Two Team Team Members, Fellows, and Community Leaders
Directions to Germantown Academy:
Street Address for GPS: 340 Morris Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034
Germantown Academy is located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania; approximately 15 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The school has entrances on both Lafayette Avenue and Morris Road. There is easy access off the PA Turnpike, exit 339. For detailed driving directions click here: http://www.germantownacademy.net/RelId/632268/ISvars/default/Detailed_Driving_Dir.htm
Traffic on the turnpike can be unpredictable and is usually heavy during rush hour, so please allow plenty of time to travel. We ask that everyone carpool from your schools whenever possible. We have approximately 150 people attending this event, and we do not have that many parking spaces so please work out carpooling details with your school teams, even if coming a shorter distance. When you arrive on GA's campus, follow the ADVIS signs for parking and for entrance to the school facilities. Registration and breakfast will be from 8:30 - 9:00 am, and the program will begin promptly at 9:00. We will also have tech support available to help you access the network during the registration period.
Equipment Needs:
Every team member needs to bring their own laptop and power cord to this event. Your laptop will need wireless capability. GA is equipped with wireless Internet access, and we will have tech support available to assist you in getting on their wireless system. If for any reason you do not have access to a laptop, please contact Stacey Kley at ADVIS (skley@advis.org) and we will make arrangements for you to have one that day. You may bring either a PC or a MAC; either is fine. We will post a wireless link here just prior to the event so that you can load it on your laptop if you wish.
Food:
Germantown Academy is providing continental breakfast for everyone, including coffee, juice, etc. Luncheon is provided as a part of this program, and will also be prepared by the wonderful food service staff at Germantown Acad.
We will also make available both vegetarian and kosher meals for anyone who would prefer them, for both breakfast and luncheon. However, you need to order these meals in advance so that we will have proper amounts. If you wish to pre-order either vegetarian or kosher meals, please have your team leader contact Stacey Kley at ADVIS no later than Sept. 22nd with the order for your school. There is no additional charge for these meals.
Questions:
If you have any questions or problems prior to the 29th, feel free to contact Stacey at ADVIS.
